Why you need to curate images for Content Marketing

Curated images are a key element of Content Marketing for social media. Posts with a curated image get up to 73% more views than the ones with low-quality ones and 89% more than posts with no pictures.

Here are 4 reasons why brands need to curate content consistently

1. Organic Traffic
If you would like to be discovered by a search engine without spending a dollar, develop a content marketing plan complete with relevant keywords you want to target. Make yourself as discoverable as possible and reach out to influencers to get their opinion and publish it to your blog or profile.
Pro-tip: Images are good for social media marketing. But what’s better is “images with written questions”. People usually ask questions in the post, but I strongly recommend asking questions within the image. It increases engagement with your audience.

2. Community Building

Community, community, community. If you use your content to cover the right topics and comment on the right news, you’ll be building a loyal community in no time. Creating valuable content for your audience is a key element in creating a strong community and you can do it even through images. We often think about a “tone of voice” for the written communication and we can imagine a “point of view” or a “filter” for your images. Let them be consistent and in line with your brand.

Pro-tip: It’s important to note that community building can expand outside of content curation. Remember that responding to your community in a timely manner, joining group discussions, and addressing reviews on sites are all ways to create a loyal following.

3. Brand Recognition

Word of mouth is an essential element of marketing. By curating content and covering topics that are valuable to your audiences you can become easily recognizable and even outshine your competitors. There is nothing better than a spontaneous picture from a happy client but not every time you can re-share the picture as it comes to you. Take a moment to fine tune the image, crop the crap, and to make the picture in line with your brand voice.

4. Influencer MarketingContent curation opens up many opportunities for you to build relationships with influencers. Use influencer-collaborations as an opportunity to reach new audiences and prolong your message even further. Working with another professional will be beneficial for your business and also for you as a creator or a business person. Different points of view, new mindsets, and distinctive approach to similar issues are only a few of the positive aspects that I found working with influencers.
